OVERVIEW: The Infant assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in the infant room and helps maintain a consistent, high-quality learning environment for children. Rooted in the Fueling Brains philosophy, Infant assistant Teachers support the development of executive functions while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom. They work closely with the Lead Teacher and team to support daily routines and responsive caregiving. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Development & Implementation Support the implementation of lesson plans aligned with Fueling Brains’ term structure and executive function goals. Assist in creating a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, comfort, and early exploration. Support children’s holistic development including social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Child Supervision & Safety Assist in daily routines (feeding, sleeping, play, sensory activities) Support developmentally appropriate, play-based programming Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment as per Alberta Licensing guidelines and regulations Family Engagement & Communication Support positive relationships with families through daily communication Share general updates and collaborate with the Lead Teacher for parent interactions Assist during parent-teacher interviews and orientation sessions as needed Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and educators to support classroom goals Follow guidance, support team planning, and contribute to a positive work environment Professional Development & Organizational Contribution Stay current with research and best practices in early learning and executive function. Participate in training and professional development as part of Fueling Brains’ continuous improvement culture. Support school initiatives, events, and community engagement. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Education Certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level 2 or 3 from a recognized institution. Valid provincial ECE Certification (Alberta/SK). Experience Minimum 1 year of Canadian experience working with infants aged from 6 weeks to 18 months old in a licensed childcare or early learning environment is a must. Experience with play-based or responsive caregiving approaches Experience designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum in early learning settings. Demonstrated ability to adapt programming for diverse learning needs. Experience leading teams, mentoring educators, or supervising assistants is an asset. Key Skills Strong knowledge of child development and early learning strategies. Ability to create nurturing, responsive environments. Effective communicator with children, families, and colleagues. Collaboration skills to guide and inspire a team. s Creative, flexible, and inclusive in program planning and problem-solving. Work Environment Requirements Flexibility to work across all scheduled shifts, including early mornings and/or late afternoons, depending on the facility’s operational requirements. Physical Requirements: Ability to engage in active play with children, including lifting small children, sitting on the floor, and participating in outdoor activities. Comfort in a dynamic, multi-age early learning setting. Additional Requirements Criminal Record Check: Successful completion of a criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector search. First Aid Certification: Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain within the first three months of employment. Physical Requirements: Ability to engage in active play and lift up to 40 lbs. We thank all applicants for their interest. Exigences

Candidates must hold an ECE Level 2 or 3 certification and have at least one year of Canadian experience working with infants in a licensed setting. A valid criminal record check and First Aid/CPR certification are also required.
