Role: Oracle PL/SQL Developer Location: Mississauga , ON (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-time MUST: Karat assessment mandatory Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support mission-critical banking applications and high-volume transactional systems. The role focuses on developing, optimizing, and supporting Oracle database solutions while ensuring performance, stability, data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will work closely with business analysts, application teams, QA, and production support teams in a controlled enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views. Develop and optimize high-performance SQL queries for large data volumes and near-real-time processing. Perform SQL/PLSQL performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and indexing optimization. Support business-critical batch jobs, EOD processing, and scheduled data workflows. Collaborate with business and application teams to understand and implement requirements. Provide production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis. Ensure compliance with SDLC, security, audit, and change management standards. Support data migration, reconciliation, and ETL processes. Maintain technical documentation, perform code reviews, and support releases. Work within Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery environments. Required Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL. Experience with Oracle Database 12c/19c. Expertise in stored procedures, packages, triggers, cursors, and collections. Strong performance tuning skills using explain plans, indexing, and partitioning. Experience in Unix/Linux environments. Proficiency with Oracle SQL Developer and/or TOAD. Experience supporting production systems in regulated environments. Preferred Banking Experience Banking or Financial Services domain experience. Exposure to high-availability systems, data controls, reconciliation, and audit requirements. Understanding of SOX, data security, segregation of duties, and change governance. Experience with large transactional datasets and batch processing architectures. Good to Have: Exposure to ETL tools and scheduling tools such as Control-M or AutoSys. Unix shell scripting. Data modeling and schema design. Experience working in global onsite-offshore delivery models. Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under strict SLAs and production deadlines. Attention to detail with a strong compliance mindset.

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures and optimize SQL queries for high-volume transactional systems. They will also provide production support and ensure compliance with various standards.

Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL, along with expertise in performance tuning and production support in regulated environments. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
