Position Overview The Director, Quality Assurance is responsible for leading, maintaining, and continuously improving the company’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems in support of business objectives, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. The role provides strong functional leadership while remaining closely connected to day-to-day execution, supported by a team of about 10 qualified specialists and managers. This position covers the Americas region, working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Sales. Additional collaboration with other regional Quality Assurance teams (EMEA, Asia) is required to ensure consistent application of quality standards across a global electronic components distribution environment. The Director also contributes to Environmental and ESG-related initiatives as they relate to quality systems, compliance, and data integrity. Key Responsibilities Quality Management Leadership o Provide functional leadership for Quality Management Systems o Develop and mentor quality professionals o Translate business objectives into quality system priorities Quality & Environmental Management Systems o Act as Management Representative for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9120 o Maintain and improve QMS and EMS processes o Ensure compliance with ANSI/ESD S20.20 where applicable Audits & Compliance o Lead internal audits and management reviews o Owns the relationship with the external auditor, support external audits and corrective actions accordingly Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent experience • Approximately 15 years of progressive experience in Quality Management Systems within electronics manufacturing or electronic components distribution • Solid experience working within ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS9120 certified environments • Working knowledge of ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards • Experience supporting internal and external audits and managing corrective action processes • Prior experience collaborating with global or multi-regional teams • Exposure to environmental compliance or ESG-related initiatives is considered an asset Preferred Qualifications • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE) • Lean or Six Sigma training • Experience with QMS tools, dashboards, and quality data analysis Core Competencies • Practical, hands-on leadership • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving • Ability to balance compliance requirements with business needs • Collaborative, pragmatic approach to cross-functional work • Continuous improvement mindset
