Human Resources Generalist – 12 Month Contract Salary: Up to $80,000 + Benefits Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) Contract: 12-Month Contract Benefits: 100% Employer-Paid Benefits from Day One About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our client’s fast-paced, people-first organization. In this role, you will partner closely with restaurant leadership and a collaborative HR team to support, engage, and retain a high-performing workforce. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who is looking to further develop their career while working in a dynamic, high-volume, multi-site environment. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, work independently, manage competing priorities, and build strong relationships with leaders across the organization. What You’ll Do Act as the primary HR resource and trusted partner for restaurant leadership on a variety of employment-related matters. Support employee relations, including performance management, coaching, counselling, conflict resolution, discipline, and termination. Conduct workplace investigations and support the management of compliance and employee-related matters. Administer and support employee wellness, engagement, occupational health and safety, and return-to-work programs. Facilitate and liaise with third-party vendors to support Early and Safe Return-to-Work programs. Support the administration of the Group Benefit Plan Program across the organization. Develop, update, and support HR policies, procedures, training materials, and best practices. Prepare employee correspondence and provide guidance to leadership on effective and legally compliant employee communications. Conduct and support HR audits and ensure findings are communicated and addressed appropriately. Ensure restaurant leadership has the tools, resources, and support needed to manage employment-related matters effectively. Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and tracking tools to support trend analysis and workforce planning. Monitor internal processes and legal compliance while identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and HR practices. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive employee information. What You Bring Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, and/or relevant post-graduate HR certification. CHRP designation required or near completion; CHRL is preferred. 3+ years of corporate head office HR experience supporting a workforce of 1,000+ employees across multiple locations. Experience supporting operations across multiple provinces is strongly preferred. Previous experience in a high-volume, multi-site environment, such as QSR, retail, manufacturing, or a similar industry. Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, discipline, termination, OH&S, disability management, and employment-related compliance. Experience supporting employee wellness, absence management, and return-to-work programs. Strong Excel skills, including reporting, tracking, and data analysis. Experience with PivotTables and VLOOKUP is preferred. Technologically adept and comfortable navigating multiple HR and online platforms. Highly organized, analytical, and able to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset. Why Join?
