Role Description As a part-time Associate at Gap in Pointe-Claire, QC, you will provide an engaging, customer-focused in-store experience. You will greet customers, answer product questions, and assist with styling and fit, while promoting current offers and brand initiatives. Daily responsibilities include organizing and replenishing merchandise, maintaining clean and visually appealing sales and fitting room areas, and supporting inventory tasks such as tagging, folding, and stockroom organization. You will operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, handle returns and exchanges, and follow loss prevention and safety procedures. This is an on-site role that requires collaboration with store leadership and team members to achieve sales goals and deliver consistent, high-quality service. Qualifications Customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and support a positive shopping experience. Communication and teamwork abilities, including clear verbal communication, respectful interaction with diverse customers and colleagues, and willingness to collaborate on shared goals. Organization and attention to detail, with skills in merchandising, maintaining store standards, handling cash, and following processes accurately. Adaptability and problem-solving skills, including the capacity to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and respond calmly in busy or changing situations. Basic math and computer skills for operating point-of-sale systems and handling transactions and store technology. Ability to stand, move, lift, and bend for extended periods, and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Previous retail or customer-facing experience is an asset but not required; a genuine interest in fashion, Gap products, and creating an inclusive environment is strongly valued.
