In this role, you will interact regularly with the general public and passengers, serving as a professional and approachable representative of our organization. Hourly wage of $ 17.40 We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy Guaranteed shifts bewtween 05:00 to 09:00, 07:00 to 11:30 ( Monday to Thursday.) .Guards must be flexible during these hours Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities for Aviation Security guard Provide professional, uniformed security services while maintaining a strong visible security presence. Conduct thorough passenger screening, including the use of metal detectors, pat-down searches, and inspection of outerwear. Inspect and search passenger bags, toolkits, duffel bags, and other personal belongings before departure. Monitor for suspicious behavior, anomalies, or unusual items and promptly report concerns to Flight Services staff. Identify prohibited or restricted items and follow established procedures for handling and escalation. Report illegal substances or activities to law enforcement authorities when required. Educate passengers and visitors on site security protocols, safety requirements, and operational procedures. Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to inquiries from passengers, visitors, and the general public. Complete accurate daily logs, incident reports, and detailed notes while performing regular security and visual deterrent duties. Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, maintain a positive work environment, and safely lift and inspect heavy items when required. Qualifications for Aviation Security Guard Be authorized to work in Canada Hold a valid Manitoba security license RAIC holder, or capable to obtain it. (PR Holder or Citizen) Must have been in Canada for 5+ years legally Must have a recent clear criminal record check and Child Abuse check Customer service oriented Must be proficient in using a metal detector. Must be able to work Morning Shifts Leadership and problem-solving skills Be very flexible and be prepared for flight cancellations Be ok with shift time being changed due to flight delays Ability to work in a stressful and fast -paced environment This could be more than a job!
