Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard In a high-security environment, this role is designed for professionals who can assess situations, anticipate risks, and act with sound judgment and composure. Experience or education in law enforcement, policing, correction, persons with mental health crisis or other specialized environments is a strong asset. A sharp eye for detail, ability to effectively document observations, respect for security protocols, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. What's in it for you? Casual Position – No guaranteed hours. Shifts are assigned based on operational requirements and availability. Competitive pay starting at $25/hr, with increases to $30/hr after probation, plus benefits. Ongoing training through GardaWorld Campus, including incident response and risk management at no cost. Uniform provided at no cost. Health benefits providing 24/hours a week is maintained Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard Provide continuous surveillance of persons in a controlled environment. Perform wellness checks at 15 minute intervals, in accordance with security standards and procedures. Identify and report risk situations or medical concerns. Respond professionally, calmly, and in compliance during sensitive situations. Accurately complete official documentation and observation reports. Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance. Canadian citizen or permanent resident, living in Canada for the past three (3) years. Clean criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check. CPR / First Aid Level C certification Background in law enforcement, police services, corrections, or care for vulnerable persons is an asset. Professionalism, discipline, integrity, and the ability to perform under pressure. Proficient with Microsoft 365 and computer systems. This could be more than a job!
