The role involves performing scheduled maintenance, repairing automotive systems, and conducting road tests to ensure manufacturer specifications are met. The mechanic is also responsible for estimating costs and advising customers on necessary future repairs.

Candidates must have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience with 3 to 5 years of professional practice. A valid driver's license, own tools, and a clean driving record are required.
