HYDROVAC OPERATOR GCS is looking for an experienced Hydrovac Operator to support our drilling crews in Edmonton. Full-time, seasonal work that is locally based. RESPONSIBILITIES: Hydrovac Operators conduct hydro excavation projects including; utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging; Complete permitting requirements as they pertain to the scopes of work; Operate trucks in a safe and professional manner; Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for hydrovac operations; Complete all required site documentation; Conduct pre-trip inspections and preventative maintenance as needed; Complete daily log books; Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity; Must show up for work fit for duty to perform duties assigned; Able to accept after hour calls in emergency situations Ensure client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times; Complete daily scheduled services in a timely manner; Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner; Follow company HSE policies and procedures; Perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly; Secure excavated holes on site; Additional duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: Class 1, Class 3 or DZ license; Clean driver’s abstract (no major infractions, no at fault accidents, no distracted driving tickets); Three years of Class 1 driving experience is required; Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work; Ability to read blueprints; Familiar with completing permitting requirements; Ability to read utility locates; Must be able to work in varied weather conditions; Strong work ethic; Ability to think and react to changing conditions quickly; Safety conscious; Strong manual dexterity and hand eye coordination; Ability to work in a fast- paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Commercial vehicle training (Hours of Service, Load Securement, Weights and Dimensions, Pre-trip inspections); CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 Ground Disturbance Level 2 / Supervisory Fall Protection

Exigences

Requires a Class 1, 3, or DZ license with at least three years of Class 1 driving experience and a clean driver's abstract. Must possess safety certifications including CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level 2.
