Responsibilities include: A variety of physical labour tasks and activites at various work stations throughout the worksite - Switchman for DE Railcrane - Shear clean up and shredder beltman - Rail track repair - Operate wheel press - Remove end caps from railcar wheel assemblies - Brass shack: peddler piece sorting, battery pile and clean wire The ideal candidate: - Will be able to work any assigned shift (days, afternoons, nights) - Start in an entry level position and advance to higher level positions - Salary: $23.69/hour Qualifications:- Capable of performing a labour intensive job outside in the elements - Ability to work in a team environment - Grade 12 diploma or GED is required - Experience in operating heavy mobile equipment and machinery would be an asset - Possess excellent communication skills, great work ethic and very good attendance Additional Incentives: Gerdau offers excellent benefits including: - Health, dental, vision, short & long term disability, and life/accidental life insurance - RRSP with company matching - Employee Assistance ProgramGerdau believes in equal employment opportunity related to all employees and applicants for employment.
