Job Title Receiver (Day Shift) About This Role: Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a Receiver for our 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, Ontario! Paste this link in your browser and check out our video here: https://youtu.be/fdz66L7FBgU What You'll Be Doing: Unloading of goods in a safe and efficient manner using a counter balance or low lift forklift; Verify items received for accuracy against purchase orders (ASNs); Report quality variances and ensure accuracy in the type and quantity of received product; Enter product information into computer systems; Assign active pick locations for new products; Apply License Plate Numbers (LPNs) verifying physical quantity of merchandise with quantity indicated on the ASN; Clearly sign all transport documentation and indicate any discrepancies; Complete non-compliance for vendors who do not follow GTW’s shipping standards. What You'll Bring: Completion of High School. Class G2 or higher driver’s licence Successful completion of a forklift training program; Familiar with material handling equipment; Excellent communication skills; Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision; Experience with or a basic understanding of personal computer is required; Voice picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMOS) experience is an asset. As part of your onboarding, you will be required to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in-house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it is an occupational requirement. When You'll Work: Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.
