The clinic offers a mission-driven workplace for professionals who want to make a meaningful impact in primary health care. Role Description The Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership to the Glengarry Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (GNPLC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centred primary care services across all clinic sites in alignment with organizational values, funding agreements, and regulatory requirements. In partnership with the Board of Directors, clinical leadership, and administrative teams, the Executive Director supports effective governance, leads strategic planning and implementation, and represents GNPLC in the community and with funders, partners, and stakeholders. The role oversees day-to-day clinic operations and interdisciplinary team functioning, ensuring efficient, safe, and responsive service delivery. Key responsibilities include supporting clinical and administrative leadership within an anti-oppressive and cultural humility framework, guiding program development and continuous quality improvement, managing financial and human resource systems, and ensuring effective risk management across clinical, operational, and organizational domains. Qualifications • Seven (7) or more years in a leadership, management position in health or non-profit administration and or Five (5) or more years as a Nurse Practitioner, with 3+ years of primary care experience. • Advanced learning and education at the baccalaureate or master’s prepared level in business administration, leadership, and/or nursing. • Registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario for nursing applicant. • Registered Nurse in the Extended Class in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario for nurse practitioner applicant. • Experience working with a Board of Directors is an asset. • Exceptional interpersonal, liaison and communication skills. • Abilities in policy and program development delivery; strategic planning; evaluation; quality improvement; change management; finance and human resources management. • Experience in conflict resolution and crisis intervention. • Aptitude to lead, encourage and motivate staff and manage an interdisciplinary team. • Experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset. • Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to, navigate the health care system on behalf of clients and advocate to ensure health care system responsiveness.

Exigences

Candidates should have significant leadership experience in health or non-profit administration, or as a Nurse Practitioner with primary care experience. Advanced education in business administration, leadership, or nursing is required, along with registration as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in Ontario.
