The Bilingual Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, patient-centered care within acute and community healthcare settings. The RN works collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diverse patient populations. Bilingual capability (English + French) is required to support patient communication and service delivery across Nova Scotia. Clinical Care Conduct comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychosocial, cultural) Develop and implement individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments safely Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition Provide bedside care across assigned units (e.g., medical-surgical, ER, long-term care) Clinical Judgment & Safety Apply critical thinking in high-acuity and rapidly changing environments Recognize early signs of patient deterioration and escalate appropriately Follow infection prevention and control protocols Ensure compliance with patient safety standards Collaboration & Communication Work with physicians, allied health professionals, and care teams Communicate effectively with patients and families in English and French Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination Emergency Department (ER) or Critical Care / ICU or Acute care (medical-surgical with high patient turnover) Bedside experience preferred Strong clinical knowledge, patient care, and communication skills Multi-tasker and thrive in a fast-paced environment Superior verbal communication skills Ability to work shift work on a rotating basis Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Have a minimum of 3-5 years nursing experience (acute Current Canadian RN license or eligibility for provincial registration Successfully passed NCLEX Exam Must be fluently Bilingual (English and French) both written and verbal Core Competencies Strong clinical judgment and decision-making Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Cultural competence and patient-centered care Adaptability and teamwork Time management and prioritization Work Environment Rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) Settings may include: Acute care hospitals Emergency departments Specialty units Community health settings

Exigences
