Senior IT Project Manager - Infrastructure, ITSM, Cyber Security Location: Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 2–3 days in office (Monday or Tuesday, with Friday as a potential third day; subject to change) Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension or conversion to FTE) Pay Rate: C$75.00–C$85.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week). Overtime may be available on weekends and evenings depending on project phase; requires hiring manager approval. Job Summary This Senior IT Project Manager role sits within the Technology Operations | Global Technology, Data, & AI line of business, embedded in a centralized PMO responsible for delivering all infrastructure-related projects across the bank, supporting all lines of business. The team specifically focuses on security-related projects, including cybersecurity, corporate security, and end user security. The successful candidate will manage cybersecurity projects across multiple sub-streams simultaneously. On a daily basis, the contractor will work closely with security and infrastructure engineering teams, intake and solution design teams, business sponsors and business leads, and third-party vendors. The team consists of 18–20 members. Key Responsibilities Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing. Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope. Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads. Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress. Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized. Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion. Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures. Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs. Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors. Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources. Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising. Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements. Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses. Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget using established procedures and policies. Required Skills IT Project Manager experience — 8 years Strong project budget management background — 8 years Infrastructure project management experience — 8 years Experience managing waterfall/Agile projects — 8 years Experience with SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence — 5 years Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies — 5 years Experience with cybersecurity project delivery — 3 years Strong experience with project governance Strong communication skills Strong stakeholder management experience Ability to present to VP/SVP level executives Preferred Skills PMP Certification Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM Working knowledge of security and cloud technologies Prior experience using Planview or Clarity as a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool Cybersecurity technologies certification or working towards certification Required Experience Minimum 8–10 years of IT project management experience with a strong emphasis on infrastructure and security-related projects Demonstrated experience delivering projects in both waterfall and Agile methodologies Proven track record of managing project budgets, timelines, and scope at a medium to large scale Experience working within or alongside security and infrastructure engineering environments Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund Important Notes Interview process: 1 in-person interview.
