Globotech is currently seeking a Subject Matter Expert- Electrical to support on going projects at the Tiverton, Ontario location. An ideal candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the area or come to the area on an as needed basis. Globotech provides a wide range of engineering services and solutions to the Nuclear Power Industry and is currently supporting Ontario's refurbishment and modification projects for Bruce Power. Roles & Responsibilities: * Supporting Project Engineering Lead and the Project Manager with technical consultancy Protective relays, Coordination studies, Power distribution, large transformers, switchyard, rotating equipment engineering services during planning, installation and commissioning phases of the project. * Supporting the project team with process and technical knowledge during the duration of the project. * Work closely with all project team members to ensure adequate project alignment and coordination is occurring at all levels. * Providing input for updating the project schedules based on progress while working within an integrated team environment. * Making recommendations and exerting influence as required to the project manager/team for corrective action such that actual performance meets the planned performance. * Supporting the Project Manager in scoping, planning and implementing projects within the work program. * Facilitating the project teams in the development of detailed work plans and installation methods while maintaining the element of safety within a nuclear facility. * Preparation of reports to provide information and data to internal and external stakeholders. Education: Completion of a 4-year University degree in Electrical Engineering Experience: * Experience in nuclear power generation, utility operations, or large industrial facilities. * Expertise in at least one of the following areas: Protective Relaying & Coordination Studies Power Distribution Systems Large Power Transformers & Switchyard Engineering Rotating Equipment (Pumps, Motors, and Valves) Qualifications/ Skills: * Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to logically understand an issue * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Team player capable of implementing a balanced approach between cooperation and end results * Self-critical and continuing to improve in both technical and interpersonal skills * Ability to provide a balanced engineering solution, considering current economic condition, life of asset, probability and consequence of a potential failure * Knowledge of Bruce Power systems and processes are considered an asset * Familiarity with applicable codes and standards is considered an asset Report To: Site Manager
