What We Offer : Performance incentives available after 3 months FULL flex benefits program Steel toe boot reimbursement Company matching RRSP Profit Sharing 125-year, family-owned and operated company history Family culture and advancement opportunities Specific Responsibilities and Functions : Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs to all warehouse equipment including but not limited to fork lifts, dock levelers, restraints, overhead doors, high speed doors, HVAC systems, water heaters, compressed air systems, fire suppression systems and conventional racking Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance and provide maintenance support for the automated storage and retrieval systems. Respond to emergency situations and support all operations of the building and automations systems Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on building and machinery Starting, stopping and transferring power to and from natural gas generator to utility Participating in line openings of the refrigeration ammonia system Refrigeration custodial work as needed Additional duties as needed Working Conditions : Grocery area in the warehouse is room temperature; varies from cold in the winter and warm in the summer Cooler area in the warehouse is approximately 1 or 2 degrees C Freezer area in the warehouse is approximately –15 degrees C. Some areas of the freezer can get as low as -23 degrees C Moderate noise level Will regularly be required to stand, walk Required to have a high degree of concentration and alertness Additional Details : Monday - Friday (Rotating Shifts): 7:15am - 3:30pm or 3:15pm - 11:30pm. Weekends as needed Hourly Rate: $40.98 - $47.98 p/hr During peak seasons, scheduled overtime is required There is a 30-minute paid lunch for an 8-hour shift GFS Delivers every day of the year, as we are a 24/7 operation. Employees must be flexible to work all Statutory Holidays, however, this does not necessarily mean that employees will be required to work all of them. Required Skills and Qualifications : Refrigeration Operator Class B Certification is required Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) Certification is preferred Skilled trade ticket is preferred Must have 5+ years of direct hands-on experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance with automated equipment Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written Ability to think and respond well under pressure Must have well developed knowledge and experience with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Electrical experience will be considered beneficial Experience with maintenance and repair of lift trucks would be beneficial We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted. Exigences

Requires a Class B Refrigeration Operator certification and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical repairs. An Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) certification is preferred, along with the ability to read mechanical drawings and work under pressure.
