Responsibilities Service Centre Perform all types of repairs and maintenance to transportation equipment Perform all types of repair and maintenance to transportation equipment Perform all tasks to best practices timelines Provide necessary hand tools for job completion Perform welding, including arc, MIG, Aluminum, Steel, air arc, plasma cutting and acetylene cutting Perform all types of brake, suspension, air system, electrical and body repairs Perform government safety inspections Ensure all parts and consumables being used are recorded on the work order at time of use Keep work area in standard operating condition at all times, including tools stored in standard locations Occasional road service calls for emergency service Promote a safe work environment, follow safety standards at all times and ensure timely reporting of any Health and Safety issues Other work as may be defined Education and Training Grade 12 or equivalent with technical training Registered 310J Truck-Trailer Service Technician Apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario or willing to register within three (3) months of employment Able to use large tools typical of transport equipment repair shop Professional and respectful communication skills Fluent in reading and writing in English Basic welding skills The salary range for this position is $25 per hour - $30 per hour based on relevant credentials and experience.
