The primary responsibility of this position is to supply parts to internal and external customers, monitor branch inventory and resolve related issues, administer the parts and inventory system, and perform cycle counts. This position will also support LEAN initiatives in collaboration with the Service Centre Supervisor. Day Shift Monday - Friday WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? Responsibilities Parts Counter Identify parts and availability for jobs coming into the service centre Provide updates and lead times on parts that need to be sourced Update repair quotes with part information and pricing Ensure all jobs are provided with the parts and supplies required immediately when requested Identify and communicate any work order warranty requirements to technicians and supervisor Assign parts and supplies on work orders to maintain accurate inventory Source parts from vendors for non-stock and out of stock, to fill orders. Process and follow up on purchase orders to maintain billing and aging targets. Escalate any customer, inventory, delivery issues to direct report to expedite resolution. Ensure any un-used parts are returned to inventory and removed from work orders if necessary Ensure documentation is detailed, accurate and timely Other work as may be defined Inventory Assist the team with cycle counts. Identify fast moving and critical truck parts to assist with growing inventory. Work with the parts ordering team to ensure correct stock levels. Backup Tasks Support for work orders and quoting – adding parts to correct tasks, resolving inventory issues, etc. Pickup of parts orders from local suppliers as required to support throughput and timely completion of repair Stage parts for mobile trucks as required to support local mobile technicians Picking parts from inventory to fill orders for customers and branch replenishment. Transfer parts to branches as required. Education and Training Grade 12 or equivalent with parts training Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience with commercial truck and trailer parts Attention to detail Strong customer service focus. Strong organizational and time management skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
