What you will do Reporting to the Highway Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for: * safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a grader, tandem truck, truck with trailer equipped with air brakes and other heavy equipment; * involved in various highway maintenance and construction tasks; * performing normal maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment, preparing and maintaining work records on the operation of the assigned equipment; * ensure roads are safe for public use through plowing and placing sand and salt on roads. Work environment: * Office location: Bathurst * Work holidays, weekends, shift and/or variable hours * May work in adverse road and weather conditions * We promote a scent-reduced environment. Who you are Key behavioural competencies: * Concern for Order * Effective Interactive Communication * Results Orientation * Teamwork and Cooperation Essential Qualifications: * Completion of grade ten (10) * Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the operation of heavy equipment * Valid Class 1 driver’s license with endorsement for airbrakes issued by the Province of New Brunswick. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
