Social Worker I

Department of Social Supports and Well-Being Reporting to the Client Services Manager, the Social Worker I will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team assisting clients with complex needs. Specifically, this position interviews clients to assess needs; provides counselling support; assists clients in navigating complex support services and systems; works collaboratively with Client Services Officers, Career Development Specialists and community stakeholders; accepts referrals from government agencies and community partners; and provides assistance and information pertaining to procedures to pursue child support. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree and be registered with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers. Experience in clinical social work, bio/psycho/social assessments, and general counselling is required.
