Position Summary Under the general direction of the Manager, Cage or the Manager, Cage & Count Operations, this position is responsible for distributing, verifying and reconciling floats, completing large cash transactions and monitoring the day-to-day activities of Cashiers. Ensures adherence to the Companys policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and supports Great Canadians learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Key Accountabilities * Monitors the Cage team; provides input for team member performance evaluations and objectives * Prepares cage for opening and closing; distributes, verifies and reconciles Cashier floats * Verifies or completes large transactions * Documents and reconciles cash and cash equivalents; provides reports * Participates in Cage corporate training; assists in conducting site training * Monitors and reports all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities * Responds to, resolves or escalates cage issues * Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments * Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members * Ensures complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations * Manages other initiatives as required Education and Qualifications * High School Diploma. Previous cage or cash handling experience preferred (minimum 2 years), along with previous supervisory experience * Food Safety and Smart Serve Certification * Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License * Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication * Willing to work a variety of shifts including afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends and statutory holidays Work Environment Considerations * Regular casino and cage environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours Who we are!
