FT Bartender-GCT

Position Summary Under the direct supervision of F&B Sr manager, Assistant Manager and supervisors, this position is responsible for serving the guest’s beverages with the strictest regard to rules, regulations and outlet operational guidelines while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. This position may serve in a restaurant, buffet operation, on a casino floor, in a bar, at a banquet, in a theatre, in in-room dining or other areas. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadians learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Key Accountabilities Greets guests by name wherever possible Informs guests of any daily specials Explains how various beverages are prepared Takes guest orders and makes recommendations Prepares beverages Serves guests and checks to ensure satisfaction Resolves guest's issues or asks management for assistance Presents bill upon request and takes payment in the absence of a cashier Cleans tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks when applicable Delivers beverages to hotel rooms as directed when applicable and obtains signature and removes used trays Performs opening or closing duties as required Counts cash float at end of shift (if applicable) Covers other bartender sections when required Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages according to SIR, Smart Serve or IGB Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Performs other duties as assigned or directed Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and liquor regulations. Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, promotions, and specialty cocktails. Verify guest age and comply with all responsible alcohol service requirements. Monitor guest consumption and handle alcohol service responsibly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and storage spaces. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety standards. Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and service team members to ensure seamless operations. Uphold company standards for hospitality, appearance, and professionalism. Education and Qualifications High School Diploma; Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset; Bartending certificate an asset Minimum 1 year bartending experience POS experience Food Safety Certification Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication Work Environment Considerations Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, non-traditional work hours. The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests. They must also maintain bar cleanliness, handle cash transactions, and provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies.

Candidates must have at least one year of bartending experience and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, applicants must be able to obtain a gaming license and hold relevant food safety and alcohol service certifications.
