This position works 12-hour shifts of either days or nights, rotating on a monthly basis. We are currently seeking individuals for the winter operations season, which runs from early November 2026 through a portion of the first half of April 2027. Candidates will be provided the dates of hire and end of term during the interview process. The position is recalled annually for the winter months for 24 hours a week, with availability for additional hours, based on operational requirements. The Things You Will Be Doing * Snow removal with the use of a variety snow plows, snow blowers, front end loaders, dump trucks with plow and wing attachments * Performs routine maintenance of Airport premises, roads and lands, both airside and groundside * Runway condition reporting (GRF) * Provides Emergency Response support as required * Lifts equipment and supplies weighing up to 50lbs Our Requirements * Heavy Equipment Operator: 5 Years * High School Diploma or equivalent * Effective communication skills * Ability to obtain Airside Vehicle Operators Permit, Transport Canada Security Clearance and Radio Operators License * Must have, or plan to complete upon hire, the IAAE Global Reporting Format (GRF) and GMIAA internal training program on GRF. Additional Skills That Are Important for This Role * Valid Class 3 driver’s license with air brakes endorsement You Will Thrive in This Role If: You enjoy hands-on, outdoor work in a team environment; you take pride in ensuring safety and efficiency in critical operations, and you value working in a structured, well-supported workplace. Important Details This position is located at our Airport Operations Facility in Dieppe, and reports to the Senior Manager, Airside Operations. The starting rate of pay is $31.24 per hour, with a 2.5% increase at the beginning of the second season, and another 2.5% increase at the beginning of the third season. The role is part of the collective bargaining unit (UCTE) for the GMIAA. How Can We Help You?
