Job Summary Provide clinical care and support within the scope of practice for patients in primary care, maternal health, and allied health settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, treat, educate patients and maintain professional standards of documentation and care. Number of Positions 4 Main Duties Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and document clinical findings accurately. Develop and implement treatment and care plans under appropriate supervision or according to regulatory scope of practice. Provide prenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care where applicable and support labour and delivery activities for midwifery roles. Administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and assist with diagnostic tests and minor interventions within scope of practice. Coordinate care and referrals by collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other health professionals. Deliver patient and family education on health promotion, disease prevention and self-care, and maintain up-to-date electronic health records. Requirements Completion of an accredited program in physician assistant, midwifery, or a relevant allied health discipline (diploma, degree, or equivalent). Current registration, certification or licensure with the appropriate provincial or territorial regulatory body as required for the role. Minimum clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting; experience in maternal care for midwifery roles where applicable. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Life Support or other role-specific certifications as required. Demonstrated ability to perform clinical tasks, manage documentation, and use electronic health record systems. Clear criminal record check and compliance with employer/health authority immunization and occupational health requirements.
