Job Summary Provide direct support to health-care professionals and patients by performing a variety of assisting tasks. Maintain a safe, clean and organized care environment while following established policies and infection control practices. Number of Positions 5 Main Duties Assist with moving, transferring and positioning patients using safe handling techniques and equipment. Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding as directed by clinical staff. Prepare, transport and deliver patients, specimens, supplies and equipment within the facility. Clean, disinfect and sterilize equipment and patient areas, and maintain inventory of supplies. Take basic observations such as vital signs and record findings accurately in patient charts or electronic records. Support clinical and administrative staff with tasks including restocking, clerical duties and maintaining documentation. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Certificate or training in health services, or completion of relevant on-the-job training is an asset. Previous experience in a health-care or caregiving environment is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing and moving patients for extended periods. Willingness to undergo background checks and maintain required immunizations. Basic computer literacy and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
