NOC 64100 - Retail salespersons and visual merchandisers

Job Summary Provide friendly customer service while assisting with sales to achieve store objectives. Create and maintain visually appealing product displays and ensure merchandising standards are upheld. Number of Positions 6 Main Duties Greet customers, assess needs, provide product information and recommend suitable items to drive sales. Operate point-of-sale systems to process purchases, returns and exchanges, and handle cash and electronic payments accurately. Design, set up and refresh visual displays, signage and product placements to support promotions and seasonal merchandising plans. Restock merchandise, organize shelves and backstock, and participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts. Maintain store cleanliness, presentation standards and accurate pricing to ensure a positive shopping environment. Respond to customer inquiries and concerns, escalate issues to management when necessary, and collaborate with colleagues to meet sales targets. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred. Basic numeracy and demonstrated cash-handling experience. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required by the role. Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with point-of-sale and inventory systems. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
