Greenwave is on a mission to eliminate wasted resources from building operations. Our advanced tools and AI-powered software precisely monitor and measure electricity, gas and water usage across buildings and deliver data-based insights to conserve energy and optimize maintenance. Ultimately, Greenwave clients benefit from lower operating costs, reduced risk, improved safety, better asset health, and a lower carbon footprint. Greenwave has created proven processes and built a proprietary, in-house energy management platform while forming a solid client base in our home province of Saskatchewan. As we look to replicate this success throughout Canada and beyond, we are seeking a seasoned sales professional to help us implement our sales processes and execute our revenue objectives. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of sales and account management experience within the building operations and/or energy management industry. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and will work closely with the leadership team to execute sales strategies and improve sales processes. We’re seeking an entrepreneurial self-starter who brings a “how can we make this happen?” attitude to our team. Your key objective · Generate sales revenue from direct B2B sales opportunities and manage key accounts to ensure customer value realization throughout the client lifecycle About Greenwave’s sales opportunity Greenwave is experiencing significant sales momentum and has achieved 85% of its FY2026 sales targets within the first half of the year. We’re ready to build on this momentum and replicate this success across new Canadian markets. Greenwave delivers advanced energy and asset management solutions to help reduce operating costs and emissions from building operations. Our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) includes clients that own and manage complex buildings that consume significant energy. Importantly, our ideal client values the long-term health of its buildings and is committed to implementing best practices to maintain equipment assets within its buildings (e.g. boilers, chillers, RTUs, AHUs, pumps, etc.) for the long term. In particular, Greenwave has gained significant traction with: o Municipalities who own and operate dozens to hundreds of buildings, including community and recreation centers o Event & conference centers o Institutions: Hospitals, Education facilities, etc. o Commercial real estate o Manufacturing and industrial facilities o Greenhouses and food processing facilities Greenwave has built the foundation for your success. We've developed proven sales processes, established meaningful reporting, identified target accounts, created compelling sales messaging and materials tailored to our ideal customer profile, and built a sales playbook that is already delivering results. Your role is to bring it to life—leveraging your exceptional sales skills, curiosity, and "How can we make this happen?" mindset to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and execute (and improve) the playbook to drive growth. What you’ll do Sales Execution · Identify prospective sales opportunities that align with Greenwave’s ICP · Create new sales opportunities through outreach efforts, including LinkedIn messaging, email campaigns, cold calls, conference participation and networking · Foster relationships with clients and channel partners to develop new sales opportunities through referrals · Manage sales pipeline from opportunity creation through closing · Prepare and deliver presentations & lead sales meetings · Leverage empathy and problem-solving to understand client needs to develop and recommend customized solutions that deliver exceptional value to clients · In collaboration with Greenwave’s sales leadership, create sales proposals and contracts, negotiate business terms and close deals · Oversee product delivery throughout client lifecycle to ensure customer value realization and secure renewals, resales and referrals · Continually support leadership team in development and implementation of sales strategies and processes Key Account Management · Deliver unwavering customer support with key accounts to help Greenwave clients unlock operational excellence by using data insights from Greensense, our proprietary in-house developed energy management platform, to identify and implement utilities conservation and maintenance programs through facility operations best practices · Collaborate closely with Greenwave’s Energy Advisors to ensure each client is receiving valuable technical and operational support · Be the main point of contact for executives and decision makers on key accounts to ensure contract deliverables are met and Greenwave’s value is measured, understood, and converted into sales expansion opportunities What you’ll bring · A proven track record of creating and closing sales opportunities · The ideal candidate will have some familiarity selling value-add solutions to clients that fit Greenwave’s ICP · An understanding of building operational processes, facility equipment maintenance (ex: HVAC, electrical, lighting, building automation systems) and/or energy/utilities management is considered a strong asset · Software-as-a-Service sales experience is considered an asset · Familiarity with building sustainability impacts is a bonus · An entrepreneurial spirit and an “I’ll figure this out” attitude · A trailblazing approach to sales, with the ability to establish a process and create a path for future sales personnel as we expand · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Strong listening skills and the ability to empathize with our prospective clients to better understand their needs and identify solutions that create value for them · Familiarity with managing a sales pipeline leveraging CRM sales tools · Prior training and/or experience in sales training programs (e.g. Sandler, MEDDPICC, Challenger sales programs) is considered an asset · A desire to support our mission of helping clients eliminate energy waste and operate buildings more responsibly Location Greenwave is headquartered in Regina, SK. Local and remote-based candidates residing in other Canadian provinces will be considered. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents to apply.
