Senior Business Analyst – Business Intelligence & Corporate Performance Location: Montreal, QC Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office Contract: 1 year, with possibility of extension The Opportunity Groom & Associates is currently recruiting a Senior Business Analyst – Business Intelligence & Corporate Performance on behalf of a well-established organization in Montreal. This is a multifaceted role combining business intelligence, data analysis, contract management, enterprise risk management and corporate projects. This is not an IT-focused Business Analyst position. Rather, we are looking for a strong business professional who can understand complex organizational issues, work with data, collaborate with multiple stakeholders and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations to management. The successful candidate will have a high degree of autonomy and will be comfortable moving between high-level business analysis and detailed data analysis. Power BI is a key component of the role, both for developing reporting tools and for helping the organization make better use of its data. Key Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Corporate Performance Act as an internal resource for Power BI and support various departments in effectively leveraging data and reporting tools. Design, develop and maintain dashboards, automated reports and data visualization tools. Gather, structure and analyze information from multiple data sources. Analyze key performance indicators, trends and business results to identify issues and opportunities. Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations. Prepare analytical reports, presentations and documentation for management. Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and organizational performance. Contract Management & Business Analysis Support the ongoing management and administrative follow-up of important organizational contracts and commercial agreements. Monitor contract performance by coordinating information from relevant stakeholders. Analyze information related to contractual obligations, timelines, costs and expected outcomes. Serve as a key point of contact for contract-related matters and coordinate with internal subject-matter experts as required. Support management in analyzing contractual, financial and operational issues. Coordinate input from internal and external stakeholders to support decision-making and the effective management of agreements. Enterprise Risk Management & Corporate Projects Act as an internal resource for the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and contribute to its ongoing maintenance and evolution. Analyze organizational risks and prepare recommendations for management. Participate in the planning, coordination, execution and monitoring of corporate projects and initiatives. Assess project feasibility, potential impacts and conditions for success. Identify and evaluate risks associated with projects, initiatives and organizational changes. Monitor implementation and recommend adjustments as required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. These areas reflect the core scope of the original position, including contract management, ERM, corporate projects and Power BI/business intelligence. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Finance or another relevant discipline. Approximately 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, business intelligence, contract management, corporate performance, project management or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, reporting and data visualization. Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft 365. Demonstrated experience analyzing data, developing performance indicators and producing management-level reporting. Strong business acumen and the ability to understand financial, operational and organizational considerations. Experience working with complex contracts, commercial agreements or contract performance is a strong asset. Experience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is an asset. An MBA or graduate degree in business, management, business analytics, business intelligence or a related discipline is considered an asset. PMP, Lean, business intelligence, data analytics or continuous improvement certifications are considered assets. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand both the big picture and the underlying details. Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly to a variety of stakeholders. Highly autonomous, organized and comfortable managing multiple areas of responsibility. Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders across different functions. Curious, adaptable and motivated to learn within an evolving environment. The education, analytical, Power BI, advanced Excel and certification requirements are based on the client’s original profile. Why Consider This Opportunity?
