Based in Montreal and reporting to the Vice President, Construction, the Construction Director is responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of construction work. This includes analyzing bids, supporting contract awards, establishing project teams and safety management practices, monitoring costs, supporting Project Directors, and ensuring project schedules are kept up to date. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full coordination and execution of active construction sites; Analyze bids from suppliers and subcontractors; Assist the Vice President in awarding contracts to suppliers and subcontractors in compliance with contractual documents; Establish and structure construction execution teams; Implement and ensure effective health and safety management practices on site with all stakeholders; Monitor, control, and update construction costs; Provide support and follow-up with Project Directors/ Managers; Ensure project schedules are properly maintained and updated. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering, or a college diploma (DEC/technical diploma) in Architectural Technology; Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a similar role (developer, real estate owner, general contractor, etc.); Extensive knowledge of various construction systems.
