Our client, a large international organization recognized as a major and innovative player in its field, is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Legal Counsel who will also play a key role as Associate Director of the IP department. Your main responsibilities: Advise technical, commercial, and legal teams on intellectual property matters; Develop and implement intellectual property strategies for cutting-edge technologies; Participate in the negotiation of complex agreements (licenses, partnerships, procurement); Oversee patent portfolios and manage third-party risks; Contribute to transactional matters and, as needed, litigation-related issues; Act as a leader and ambassador for IP internally. Profile sought: Member of the Bar (Canada or U.S.); Significant experience of minimum 5 years in intellectual property and in patents; Technical background or strong affinity for a technical environment (engineering is a major asset); Registered as a Patent Agent (Canadian or U.S.); Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment.
