As a hard-working, self-sufficient, and dependable team member, you're excited to take on a unique dual role that includes maintaining the refrigeration plant and all aspects of the building, driving the Zamboni, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Pacific Adult Hockey League (PAHL). Working alongside an outstanding team, you'll help ensure our facilities operate at peak performance while delivering an organized, welcoming, and enjoyable league experience for hundreds of adult hockey players. Key Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain the arena refrigeration plant, ice surfaces, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. Drive and maintain the Zamboni while performing routine facility inspections and basic mechanical repairs. Coordinate PAHL league operations, including scheduling, registrations, payments, standings, and league communications. Serve as the primary point of contact for players, captains, officials, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and resolving inquiries professionally. Manage incident reports, disciplinary processes, and game-day operations while supporting marketing, recruitment, and league growth initiatives. Collaborate with the Operations team to deliver a safe, organized, and exceptional experience for all facility users and league participants. To qualify for this role, you have your Ice Facility Operator (IFO), Refrigeration Operator (RO), or 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer certification, or you're eager to obtain certification with our support. You bring strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Experience working in a recreation, sports, or arena setting is an asset, along with a solid understanding of league scheduling and statistics software. You're comfortable troubleshooting minor technology issues, communicating with players, officials, and teammates, and balancing multiple priorities with confidence.
