The Vice President, Facilities Optimization reports directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for advancing the performance, growth, and value of GSL's facilities management business. Working closely with the CEO, this role identifies and evaluates opportunities across Canada while developing frameworks and initiatives that enhance facility performance, improve consistency, and support portfolio expansion. The Vice President will build relationships with municipalities, arena operators, private developers, institutional owners, sports franchises, and Indigenous communities to establish and reinforce GSL as the operator of choice for mid-sized arenas, recreation centres, and event venues across Canada. The successful candidate will be a commercially driven executive with demonstrated success winning and negotiating venue management contracts, scaling multi-site operating platforms, and building long-term client relationships. They will combine entrepreneurial drive with operational rigor, capable of translating growth opportunities into structured agreements and disciplined execution. Experience in arena operations, public-private partnerships, and high-traffic, event-driven environments will be essential.
