We’re looking for a motivated Asset Management Analyst who will contribute to the day-to-day management and analysis of a growing portfolio and may include responsibility for a group of assets. This successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a passion for real estate. Skills required in this position include a strong work ethic, well developed analytical and interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach. Your areas of focus will include: RESPONSIBILITIES Planning & Strategy Support the team in the preparation of annual budgets, interim forecasts, and business plans in collaboration with a variety of internal groups Play an integral part in the annual appraisal process by liaising with external appraisers, providing pertinent information when required, and reviewing draft appraisals and corresponding valuation models Present a variety of reports to senior asset management staff and portfolio management team Valuation & Analysis Build and maintain cash flow and valuation models by using a variety of approaches including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, net-present value (NPV) analysis, and cash-flow modelling Using analytical tools when required to complete asset valuations, lease analyses, capital rationales, etc. Prepare analysis and reports for various internal and external parties Work with internal teams during acquisition, disposition, and development phases and participate in the due diligence process Take an active role in the valuation process Evaluate return performance of assets and compare with market benchmarks Research, Presentation & Reporting Keep current with market trends; prepare market reports and research papers for internal use Prepare presentations to external clients; including mid-year review presentations and budget presentations Provide support to the asset management team on special projects as needed QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 1-3 years experience gained from a similarly positioned role in commercial and/or residential asset management, investment analysis, brokerage or appraisal Post-secondary education in a related discipline, CFA Charterholder/candidacy or AACI Designation/candidacy is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Office; PowerPoint and Outlook Experience with Argus Enterprise is an asset Motivated self-starter that can work independently and navigate through ambiguous tasks Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modelling, problem-solving and researching skills with strong attention to detail Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with a variety of internal and external stakeholders The base salary for this position is between $71,400.00 to $107,00.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
