The base salary for this position is between $48,000 - $65,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The building attendant is key to achieving the goal of creating exceptional service and best-in class resident experience through timely and efficient maintenance in the parking, exterior and amenity areas of the property. This role requires regularly scheduled on-call responsibilities after business hours which include and not limited to statutory holidays. RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Provide customer-oriented service to residents Perform cleaning tasks: litter pick-up, shovelling, pressure washing, or as assigned by the Maintain pool, hot tub, sauna and amenity BBQ’s daily Manage waste and recycling; conduct daily garbage pickup in parkade and exterior areas Maintain potted plants, shrubs, seasonal plantings and green roofs Monitor/ adjust irrigation systems, check roof weekly for debris or hazards Enforce parking rules with Resident Experience Manager Respond to snow and ice promptly Store hazardous materials with up-to-date MSDS Assist vendors/ contractors, complete work orders and support suite turnovers Conduct vacant suite checks for leaks, temperature or security issues Follow health and safety standards, clean mechanical areas regularly Maintain tools/ equipment and test elevators weekly Support deliveries and assemble items as needed Address environmental hazards and rule breaches Customer Service Foster positive resident relations using a service-based approach Collaborate with team members to address concerns quickly and professionally Support resident satisfactions through prompt, ongoing communication Engage is resident/ staff events where appropriate Administration and Reporting Document work orders in Yardi accurately Maintain snow removal logs seasonally Keep Safety Data Sheets current and compliant Maintain maintenance records per procedures Complete required training and participate in goal-setting reviews QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years' experience in property maintenance; experience in property/hospitality preferred Highschool diploma with OHSA, WHMIS and First Aid Certification Knowledge of building systems and general maintenance Strong communication, professionalism and confidentiality Able to build cooperative team/ resident relationships Manage time effectively, work under pressure, adapt to change and prioritize tasks Flexible for day/ evening/ month-end work, including on-call emergencies Comfortable using apps on handheld devices WHAT WE OFFER 3 weeks of vacation per year 3 paid personal days per year Half-day every Friday before a long weekend Eligible to participate in our annual performance based bonus program A comprehensive health benefits plan that supports you and your family Up to $2,000 annual education allowance Up to $5,000 annual mental health coverage A friendly, welcoming, and supportive culture Many social and team events!
