This team is responsible for preparing air handling units for shipment to customers, ensuring that all components are installed, tested, and secured for safe transport. What we offer: Competitive pay: $21.80 - $30.00/hour, based on experience Steady Full-Time Hours: Consistent schedule all year round Comfortable Work Environment: Heated and air-conditioned workspace Comprehensive Benefits: Employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance Paid Holiday & Wellness Program: Keep yourself healthy and happy Company-Sponsored Events: Enjoy team-building and social activities Safety Boot Reimbursements: Stay safe with our support Career Growth: Opportunities for advancement in a thriving company Respectful and Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values teamwork and mutual respect Your Responsibilities: Physical Labour: Engage in demanding physical tasks to support production activities Physical Activity: Stand, walk, crawl, climb, lift, balance and carry materials as required to support production Blueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret drawings, work orders and instructions to guide assembly and finishing processes Measurement & Testing: Use measuring tools and perform mathematical calculations, including converting decimals to fractions to ensure accuracy and quality Unit Finishing: Clean units using approved tools and chemicals, perform caulking and install bulb seals, windows, door handles, foam tape and other components Component Preparation: Kit and prepare components to support efficient assembly and installation Quality Control: Identify, resolve and report quality concerns to ensure products meet company standards Tool Use: Safely operate air tools, electric tools, fabrication equipment and rigging devices Working at Heights: Work comfortably from ladders and elevated work areas as required Unit Testing: Set up and perform pressure, airflow, deflection, leak and sound testing, including ductwork connections, pitot tubing installation, RPM measurement, damper adjustments and data collection Damper & Section Assembly: Install and prepare dampers, assembly unit splits and ensure proper orientation and sealing for testing Material Handling: Use overhead cranes and other equipment to safely move materials and load units for shipment Packaging & Shipment: Wrap HVAC units in protective materials and prepare them for safe transportation to customers Independent Work: Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision while meeting production goals Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment, provide support to coworkers and contribute to a positive workplace culture Cross-Training: Rotate between workstations and learn a variety of finishing and testing functions as required Problem Solving: Anticipate workflow needs, adapt to changing priorities and make informed decisions to support production efficiency Job Type: Full-time, indoor Starting Wage: $21.80-$30.00/based on experience Experience: Construction 1 year (Preferred) Skilled Labour 1 year (Required) Manufacturing or Assembly Experience (Considered an asset) Job Location: Kingston, ON (on-site) Shift Schedule: Rotating early morning and afternoon shifts (Monday – Friday 5:45am - 2:15pm and Monday – Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am) Every other Friday off Weekend shifts not required (occasional overtime is not mandatory and is dependent on factory needs) *Reliable transportation is required* This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
