We provide exemplary patient and family centered care to patients with both an oncology diagnosis and other patients with general medicine diagnoses. We have a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, dietitian and discharge planner who collaborate to provide safe, high quality care in a timely fashion to our patient population Qualifications Halton Healthcare endeavors to hire individuals who are competent in their chosen profession and who exemplify our mission, vision and values of accountability, respect and compassion which guide our individual behaviours and attitudes. Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire Recent acute care medical experience required. Advanced RPN and assessment skills including aseptic technique, N/G insertion, suctioning and airway maintenance. Medication administration certificate an asset. Organized and with ability to work in a team environment. Caring, compassionate, customer focused attitude towards patients and families. Good team player with positive attitude. Evidence of continued learning. Must be physically able to do the job, which involves heavy lifting and intensive physical effort. Satisfactory employment and attendance record. The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation. Exigences

Must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario with current BLS certification. Requires recent acute care medical experience and proficiency in advanced assessment and clinical nursing skills.
