Environmental Aide

As a member of the health care team, provides janitorial services including but not limited to project cleaning throughout the hospital. 1. Minimum Grade 12 education and / or equivalent education 2. Previous janitorial experience using industrial/commercial equipment and cleaning agents in a hospital or health care setting preferred 3. Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 pounds continuously for up to 2 hours 4. Able to stand for long periods, repetitive reaching, bending, climbing ladder, pushing and lifting using good body mechanics 5. Demonstrates ability to accept assignments and follow instructions 6. Capable of effective communication with other members of the health care team, both verbal and written 7. Capable of setting priorities and organizing work in response to department needs

The Environmental Aide provides janitorial and project cleaning services within a hospital environment. They are responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Candidates must have a minimum of a Grade 12 education and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous experience with industrial cleaning equipment in a healthcare setting is preferred.
