Your enthusiasm and leadership will help shape the foundation for lifelong learning and growth in our young learners. *Responsibilities* * Design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children * Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration * Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or working with individuals with disabilities * Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners to ensure a collaborative approach to education * Maintain accurate records of children?s progress, attendance, and behavioral observations using computer systems * Lead classroom activities that develop language skills in both English and French where applicable * Manage daily routines such as meal times, naps, transitions, and outdoor play with excellent time management skills *Requirements* * Must obtain BC Registry ECE Licence * Be able to provide BC registration number for verification. * Must be legal to work in Cananda. * Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings or related childcare roles * Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education * High proficiency in English. * Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is preferred * Strong communication skills?both written and verbal?to effectively engage with children, families, and team members * Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities, documentation, and lesson planning efficiently. * Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a dynamic setting *Wage and Benefits:* * ECE: starting from $22 per hour, plus $6 wage enhancement * ECE ITE: starting from $23 per hour, plus $6 wage enhancement * Extended Health care * Employee rate childcare fee * Vacation pay and 5 paid sick days. _*Please send your resume, along with BC registration number to our email: [email protected]*_ ECEA is NOT qualified for this position and will NOT be considered.
