As an ECE, you will be responsible for creating enriching activities, supporting individual needs, and promoting positive social interactions. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help shape the foundation for lifelong learning and growth in our young learners. *Responsibilities* * Design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children * Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration * Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or working with individuals with disabilities * Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners to ensure a collaborative approach to education * Maintain accurate records of children?s progress, attendance, and behavioral observations using computer systems * Lead classroom activities that develop language skills in both English and French where applicable * Manage daily routines such as meal times, naps, transitions, and outdoor play with excellent time management skills *Requirements* * Must obtain BC Registry ECE Licence * Be able to provide BC registration number for verification. * Must be legal to work in Cananda. * Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings or related childcare roles * Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education * High proficiency in English. * Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is preferred * Strong communication skills?both written and verbal?to effectively engage with children, families, and team members * Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities, documentation, and lesson planning efficiently. * Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a dynamic setting *Wage and Benefits:* * ECE: starting from $22 per hour, plus $6 wage enhancement * ECE ITE: starting from $23 per hour, plus $6 wage enhancement * Extended Health care * Employee rate childcare fee * Vacation pay and 5 paid sick days. _*Please send your resume, along with BC registration number to our email: [email protected]*_ ECEA is NOT qualified for this position and will NOT be considered.
