Harvest Operations is currently recruiting for multiple Foreman positions, reporting to the Superintendent. The Foreman will lead and guide key staff to understand and execute Harvest’s company objectives and policies. The Foreman carries out the direction from Superintendent to meet specific targets and goals, while demonstrating competence across a range of technical and supervision skills. This is a full-time permanent position located at the BlackGold SAGD Facility near Conklin, AB. The successful candidate(s) will reside in a camp facility on a rotational basis. Strong compensation Comprehensive benefits Career advancement opportunities Strong safety culture and team-oriented environment What we are looking for: Our ideal candidate(s) will have the following minimum qualifications: Legally authorized to work in Canada Possess a valid 1st or 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate of Competency. Preference will be given to those holding a 1st class certification. 10-15 years of experience in oil & gas operations with a majority of experience in SAGD facilities. Current H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG certifications. Valid Class 5 Operator’s License (or equivalent). Our ideal candidate(s) will also have: Strong understanding of upstream/midstream operations. Proficiency in using MS Office, scheduling software, and operations management systems. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. What you will do: Coordinate daily operations and maintenance activities to meet daily production targets and maintenance KPI’s. Capture and provide operational and maintenance activities to key stakeholders. Liaison with Marketing and Production Engineering departments to ensure sales and purchasing nominations are met in accordance with contracts. Validate and prioritize maintenance work requests from all functional groups in accordance with scheduling guidelines. Manage emergency work requests and assist with coordination of resources in response. Assist in turnaround planning activities. Ensuring correct work scopes are in the activity window and provide operational guidance to shutdown activities to maximize efficiency of resources, timelines and cost management within the framework of a defined project management workplan. Manage various integrity management, environmental compliance programs and preventative maintenance programs. Responsible for notifications to applicable regulatory authorities, stakeholders and local record keeping of the programs. Operations/site representative for project representation with third party vendors and internal engineering group. Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, invoice review and approvals. Additional Information: This position is a “fly-in, fly-out” position. BlackGold is serviced by flight hubs in Calgary and Edmonton, as well as bus transportation to site. Essential certifications include H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG, along with completion of specific safety leadership training.
