We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The Service Department is a vital part of the dealership, and the way it builds open, honest, trusting relationships with customers and other departments are essential to the dealership’s success. The Heavy Equipment Technician‘s main objective is to provide quality workmanship, consistent service, and technical knowledge to customers to generate sales and profit for the dealership. Responsibilities * Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs. * Communicate with service advisors to obtain required authorization for servicing and repairs as required. * Service and repair equipment in the shop and on-site for the customer as needed. * Recondition and re-manufacture components as required for equipment, engine and hydraulic repairs. * Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers and co-workers. * Communicate work performed and complete service paperwork. * Update and maintain service records * Fill out warranty information * Complete work orders * Participate in manufacturers' and in house service training. Training may occur during work and/or after work hours. * Participate in all required Health & Safety Training. * Comply with all Occupational Health & Safety program and practices. * Act in a manner conducive to a safe workplace. * Work with various Manufacturers online support. * Complete various training courses as required to stay up to date and proficient * Conduct housekeeping duties as required to keep workspace clean and safe * Maintain a professional company image at all times. * Prior experience working on International trucks, JCB equipment, New Holland, Kubota, and Hangcha lift equipment is an asset. Qualifications * Trade certification, Journeyman Red Seal and/or currently registered in a related Provincial Apprenticeship program. * Able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a superior customer service experience & excellent communication skill are essential. * Must be neat in appearance, punctual, and a team player. * Must be able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities and be responsive and flexible to best serve the issue at hand. * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. The Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy machinery both in the shop and at customer sites. They must also maintain accurate service records, complete work orders, and build strong professional relationships with customers.

Candidates must hold a trade certification or Journeyman Red Seal, or be registered in a related apprenticeship program. Excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical are required.
