Role: Senior Business Analyst Location: Toronto Work Arrangement: Flex Hybrid We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills, a genuine appreciation for process, and a proven ability to define clear, detailed requirements for cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable owning tasks, reaching out to stakeholders independently, and supporting both clients and internal teams through to delivery — ideally with a background navigating the pace and variety of agency work. A genuine process lover — you build structure where there isn't any, and know the difference between useful process and bureaucracy. Strong communicator with the ability to lead discussions with both technical teams and client stakeholders. Confident in reaching out to gather information and align teams without needing close oversight. Able to manage multiple concurrent projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Comfortable speaking about technology and development. Experienced in analyzing and challenging designs and solutions with the product in mind. Familiar with working in both Agile and Waterfall environments. What You Will Do Lead requirements gathering for internal and client-facing initiatives. Conduct audits and interviews with clients and developers to improve ways of working. Document clear and detailed requirements that support UX, UI, and development teams. Translate business objectives into user stories, use cases, workflows, and acceptance criteria. Design and maintain workflows in Jira, keeping backlogs groomed and priorities visible. Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and design better ones. Work closely with clients and internal teams throughout the delivery lifecycle. Create models, diagrams, and specifications for technical teams as needed. Support QA and post-launch validation to ensure delivered work matches intent. Act as a subject matter expert for developers and QA. Required Experience 5–10 years in digital delivery or solutioning, with meaningful time spent in an agency environment. Proven experience writing detailed requirements in Jira and working closely with UX/UI and dev teams. Experience balancing Agile and Waterfall approaches depending on project and client needs. Very strong communication and interpersonal skills. Nice To Have Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools (Figma, Axure, or similar). Background in SaaS, fintech, or another regulated industry. Experience with accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) in requirements gathering. Exposure to portfolio-level or multi-project coordination. Comfortable prompting and refining outputs from generative tools Additional Information This role represents an active vacancy at Havas.
