Résumé du poste
Role and Facility Information This is a longstanding medical clinic known within the Burnaby community We care for a broad and diverse population that includes individuals, families, children, working adults, newcomers and older patients. The clinic continues to experience strong demand for access to family medicine. A physician joining us does not need to begin by establishing an entirely new clinic or creating every administrative process from the ground up. Our Existing Practice Offers: An established flow of patients Opportunities to build long-term patient relationships A well-known community location Existing clinical and administrative systems Experienced medical office assistants Billing and onboarding support TELUS Med Access electronic medical records Flexible discussions regarding schedule and practice style Why Work with Us? Consistent Patient Demand Burnaby is a large, growing and culturally diverse city within Metro Vancouver. This medical clinic has served the community for more than three decades. Local residents know the clinic and regularly seek access to both ongoing and episodic primary care. Depending on the physician’s preferred practice model, there may be opportunities to build a new longitudinal panel, expand a developing practice or provide care to patients seeking more immediate access. Experienced Administrative Support An effective clinic team can make a meaningful difference to a physician’s working day. Our medical office assistants and administrative staff understand the practical requirements of community family medicine. Support May Include: Appointment scheduling Patient registration Incoming document management Referral processing Medical-record administration MSP billing support Clinic forms and correspondence EMR orientation Workflow and onboarding assistance Our aim is to allow physicians to concentrate as much as possible on clinical care. Flexible Practice Options Physicians have different professional priorities, family commitments and career plans. Some want to establish a large longitudinal practice. Others are looking for part-time work, locum shifts or a gradual transition into a permanent position. At our clinic, practice arrangements are discussed individually. Depending on availability, eligibility and mutual agreement, options may include: Full-time or part-time hours Flexible clinic schedules Locum or permanent work A gradual start with increasing clinical time Longitudinal or episodic family medicine Fee-for-service or other eligible payment arrangements Appropriate virtual-care components A phased transition for physicians relocating to British Columbia We want to understand the practice you are hoping to build rather than assuming that one model will suit every physician. Clinic Onboarding and Transition Support Once the physician’s eligibility and intended practice arrangement have been established, our team can assist with the clinic-specific aspects of beginning work. Support May Include: Reviewing possible schedules Discussing compensation and overhead arrangements Coordinating clinic onboarding Introducing the physician to clinic staff Setting up TELUS Med Access access and orientation Explaining internal billing workflows Assisting with applicable MSP administrative documents Establishing appointment types and scheduling templates Supporting patient-panel development Helping the physician understand clinic processes and referral workflows Physicians relocating to British Columbia will also be directed to the appropriate external resources for licensing, immigration and provincial recruitment support. A Physician-Led Approach Our medical clinic has been operated by physicians and clinic owners who understand the clinical and operational realities of community medicine. We Value: Professional independence Respectful communication Reliable administrative systems Patient-centred care Practical problem-solving Flexibility where possible Long-term relationships with physicians and patients We are interested not only in filling available clinical hours, but in finding physicians who can see our clinic as a professional home. Come and Meet the Clinic Physicians do not need to commit to a permanent arrangement before learning more about us. An Initial Conversation May Cover: Your current licensing status Your preferred type of practice Full-time or part-time availability Interest in locum or permanent work Longitudinal versus episodic care Preferred Compensation Model Expected start date Relocation or onboarding needs Where appropriate, a clinic visit or introductory shift may be discussed before a longer-term arrangement is finalized.
