Position #: 9001791 Expected Start Date: September 11, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: St. Peter's Hospital - SHA City/Town: Melville Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: May 01, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Weekends, Standby Number of Hours per Rotation: 42 shifts of 12 hours per 12 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: EMS Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. They assist with the operations of the facilities they serve. The only restriction that has been identified governing their participation in these departments is; No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls. EMTs shall abide by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures. Exigences
Candidates must hold a Primary Care Paramedic diploma and an International Trauma Life Support Certificate. A valid Class 4 driver's license and registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics are also required.
