Position #: 088464 Expected Start Date: October 01, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Weyburn Special Care Home City/Town: Weyburn Department: Chronic Resident Unit Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Nurse - Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and service provision to the client/residents within the continuing care home. As an experienced practitioner, the Resident Care Coordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, coordination of resident care, and support and teaching to the resident care team (including staff, residents, and residents’ support team) within a collaborative environment. The routine procedures are generally predetermined but critical thinking and independent judgment is an integral part of the position. Human Resources Exemption: No Education * Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing Licenses * Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Experience * Minimum of two (2) years relevant long term care nursing experience Other Education and Training * Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Competencies * Communication skills * Computer skills Knowledge & Abilities * Ability to take initiative * Knowledge in change management * Knowledge of how to coach for performance * Develop, implement, and refine client safety initiatives on a continual basis * Ability to be adaptable, build trust, provide coaching and mentorship * Knowledge in applicable best practices and principles for the clinical area * Strong teaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
