This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects. Human Resources Exemption: No Multi-Site: * Yes Experience * One year experience in community needs assessment/development/health promotion * Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse Education * Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) Licenses * Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training * BLS for Healthcare Provider (Level C) - Heart and Stroke Competencies * Critical thinking skills * High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues * Decision making skills * Leadership skills * Listening skills Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to provide holistic care to individuals,families & the community * Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgment & organizational skills * Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care * Highly developed written and oral communication skills * Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change. Candidates must hold a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner degree and have three years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse. Additionally, one year of experience in community needs assessment or health promotion is required along with a valid driver's license and BLS certification.
