Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Physician Assistants collect and interpret medical information to make clinical decisions and perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. They work within a formalized relationship with a physician to provide patient and family-centered care in a multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates must hold an accredited Physician Assistant degree and be certified or eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Clinical experience in a related field is considered an asset, along with relevant life support certifications.
