General Manager Heli-One Canada - Richmond, British Columbia Location: Richmond, British Columbia, Canada Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Aviation Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Heli-One is one of the world's leading helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers, supporting civil and government operators across multiple continents. We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded leader to serve as our next General Manager in Canada. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of aircraft maintenance, modification, overhaul and repair activities while leading a large operational workforce in a highly regulated aviation environment. The role is accountable for safety, quality, operational performance, customer delivery workforce capability, achieving financial targets and continuous improvement across the business The Opportunity Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead one of Heli-One's most important maintenance operations, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence. You will provide leadership across production, planning, quality execution, workforce capability and customer delivery while helping shape the future growth of the business. Key Responsibilities Lead all maintenance operations, including aircraft repair and modification as well as component repair and overhaul activities. Drive operational performance, productivity, quality and on-time delivery. Build, develop and lead high-performing maintenance teams. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, OEM standards and company procedures. Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure safe working practices across all operations. Oversee workforce capability, training and certification requirements. Manage operational priorities, resource allocation and production planning to meet customer commitments. Partner closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding service and operational results. Partner with sales and commercial organizations to secure new work and achieve business growth targets. Ensure operational activities achieve desired financial outcomes. Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction. What We're Looking For Significant leadership experience within aviation maintenance, aerospace manufacturing, MRO, defence or a similarly regulated technical environment. Strong operational leadership experience managing large teams and complex maintenance or production environments. Demonstrated ability to lead through change while maintaining operational performance. Deep understanding of aviation safety, regulatory compliance and quality systems. Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. Commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational excellence, customer expectations and business performance. Experience working within Transport Canada, FAA, EASA, military or equivalent regulatory frameworks is considered an advantage.
