Pharmacist – Pharmasave Chemainus

Interested in working with a small team in a community pharmacy? Pharmasave Chemainus is hiring a full-time Pharmacist. We are a vibrant community pharmacy in beautiful Chemainus, BC with an amazing team and we are looking to add another pharmacist to our team to meet the growing demand of our community! We are ideally looking for a Full-Time pharmacist, but we are open to a Part-Time pharmacist if we find the right candidate! The ideal candidate embraces all aspects of community pharmacy care including counselling & advising patients on medications and OTC care, providing vaccinations and medication injections, completing MACS, and providing medication reviews. We are 100% locally owned and operated and we provide a relaxed professional environment with absolutely no quotas or pressure to complete specific services. Hours of operation are 9am-7pm Monday through Friday, 9am-5:30pm Saturday, closed Sunday. Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of patient/customer information Maintain sufficient inventory for appropriate patient care and efficient operation Providing patient education & care Actively review all pharmacy communications sent to the pharmacy from the Pharmasave office, pharmacy associations, regulatory bodies, health and other industry organizations Ensure that issues identified with individual prescriptions, patient care, and any other services are addressed within appropriate timeframes Verify completed prescriptions for accuracy and ensure personally filled prescriptions are verified by another pharmacy team member whenever possible Perform, supervise, and review the accurate adjudication and sale of prescription and other purchases using the pharmacy software and point of sales (POS) systems BC Pharmacist License in Good Standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy from a recognized institution Injection Certification and Valid First Aid Certification (Or willingness to obtain Injection Certification if not already certified) Community pharmacy experience preferred, but not required Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the pharmacy and healthcare teams Ability to stay current with evolving pharmacy practices and regulations $55-65 hourly wage Extended Health & Dental Benefits Life & Disability Insurance Paid Vacation Store Discount Signing Bonus Licence & Liability Fees Paid For Education Allowance With over 900+ stores across the country, Pharmasave is one of Canada’s leading independent pharmacy and drugstore retailers. Provide comprehensive community pharmacy care including patient counselling, vaccinations, medication reviews, and MACS. Manage pharmacy operations by maintaining inventory, verifying prescription accuracy, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Must hold a BC Pharmacist License in good standing and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy. Candidates should have injection certification or willingness to obtain it, along with valid First Aid certification.
