Information on the division: Cambridge: This newly built facility (108,000 sq. ft.) is Héroux-Devtek’s center of excellence for machining of B-777 large size landing gear components. Salary range: $31-$37 per hour Main responsibilities * Machine Control which includes pull and send programs; tool change; trouble shooting; entering tool offsets; M.D.I. * Understanding setup sheets, tool lists and Operational Detail Sheetsà * Calculating Work Offsets/Indicating * Understanding programmed tool path * Tightening and clamping pressures (i.e. ‘Free State’ condition and part clamped maintaining free state) * Cutting pressures/Boring Bar adjustments; spring pass; test cut bore * Ability to read, understand G and M codes * Tape proving new and modified programs, anticipating what the machine will do before it cuts * Preventive maintenance * 5-S Activities * Pre-start up inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness * Running a combined number of machines simultaneously in a safe and effective manner. (Combo) * Other duties as assigned * Adhering at all times to company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements Our ideal candidate: * Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment. * Ability to help produce large, high quality parts in a safe, productive and efficient manner. * Ability to take direction from and interact with co-workers in a productive and positive manner. * Minimum Gr. 12 education required. * The ability to wear the required PPE. * Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGP directives.
