Overview Hexagon's Automous Solutions, is looking for an Applications Engineering Intern to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company for the period of May 3, 2027 to May 2, 2028. To support our focus on delivering high quality products, we are looking for an enthusiastic internship student to add to our Hexagon A&P Core Customer Support team. This role offers you a chance to work alongside our Applications Engineers and Support Specialists to directly support our customers and some of the biggest names in the industry as they make the move toward autonomy through GNSS and related hardware and software technology. Working with our experienced team you will gain valuable hands-on experience with autonomy and positioning solutions for many exciting applications . The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based onsite in Calgary, AB. Responsibilities As an Applications Engineering Intern your responsibilities include: Provide product and application support for Hexagon A & P Hardware, Software, and related GNSS & INS topics to internal and external customers Provide technical support for both pre-sales opportunities and post-sales support Data analysis for support cases when applicable Troubleshooting, investigation and issue replication Including phone and email support Review new team member training material Review technical documentation materials and manuals Assist with ongoing updates to team procedures and best practices Participate in setting up and configuring equipment to help reproduce customer issues Qualifications Must-Have: Registered in the Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2nd or 3rd year of studies by the start of your work term Enrolled in Electrical, Computer, or Geomatics Engineering or related program at an accredited post secondary institution Available for a minimum 12 month work term, 37.5 hours a week Strong academic credentials Strong communication skills, both oral and written Key Success Factors: Able to work in a collaborative team environment Confident Self-starter Detail oriented person able to follow complex instructions with a “first-time right” attitude Motivated by challenging work Comfortable working individually but know when to ask for help Nice-to-Have: Experience in programming: C++ and Python Experience with CAN bus and/or Robot Operating System (ROS) Experience using GNSS and/or GNSS+INS systems Interest in Autonomous Systems Experience in a customer-facing role Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
